We have a few VDI clusters that have hundreds of machines that we don't care to monitor in Virt Manager as they take up too many of our licenses.
On a call with Solarwinds a few weeks back they claimed that if we created an account and deny access to those clusters in vSphere for that account that Virt Manager won't see them.
We created an account and gave it all the correct deny permissions at the cluster level. When I log into vCenter with that account I don't see those clusters.
I added that new account for the credentials for Virt Manager to use to contact our Virtual Center. But I still see the VDI clusters in Virt Manager.
Has anyone else tried this with success?
