In my VMware environment we use SRM (VMware Site Recovery Manager) across both our data centres to protect our 500+ VMs for business continuity and disaster recovery.
My problem is that Virtualization Manager mistakes the tiny (1-2kb) VM placeholders that SRM creates as bona fide VMs. This means all the Virtualization Manager dashboards, reports, alerts, searches etc are incorrect and misleading.
Solarwinds Vman support have suggested removing the data collection account access to the LUNs containing these SRM placeholders but this doesn't appear to make any difference.
Any suggestions? Surely we can't be the only VMware site using both Virtualization Manager and VMware Site Recovery Manager?
